REGISTRATION
The registration fee is $208 if you pay on line or $200 if you pay by check (payable to Northview High School and given to Coach Davenport). The $8 convenience fee if you pay on line is necessary to cover our credit card processing costs. Remember registration last year was $250. So either way your cost is less. Yeah!
If you have not registered your son for a sport via the Northview Athletics Association (NAA) website (i.e. basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, etc.) you must create a new account. NAA has a separate database from football and there was no easy way to port our information over.
Everyone MUST be registered and have a current physical on file with the school prior to the start of spring practice. NO EXCEPTIONS.
PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS – URGENT!!
Because our program is our big fundraiser this year our fundraising committee is going to get started NOW (so we can beat the other local schools who are also doing programs to some of the bigger sponsors). El Bridges needs 3 volunteers to help with fundraising and sponsorship. Volunteers must be available during business hours and have the ability to speak with businesses to sell ads and request donations. Volunteers will probably work in teams of two. This will require several hours a week over the next few months and WILL fulfill your volunteer requirements for the season.
ALSO wanted is someone with experience composing printable items such as school directories, year books, newsletters or someone proficient in digital scrapbooking. Again the person who does this will fulfill all volunteer requirements for the season.
If you think you might want to help in either of these areas or have any questions contact El at elleabridges@yahoo.com

The state of Georgia appears overflowing with credible 2013 running back prospects, with at least eight claiming BCS offers.
The latest is Terrence Upshaw, a 5-foot-9, 180-pounder from Northview High School in Duluth, Ga.
Vanderbilt offered Upshaw last week.
“My high school coach went there, and I know they have really good religious education,” Upshaw said.
Georgia Tech, Clemson and Wake Forest have also expressed interest in Upshaw, who recently starred at a nearby combine, running a 4.47 40 while also producing stellar numbers in tests for short-area quickness.
As a junior, Upshaw rushed for 647 yards and 14 touchdowns on 133 carries. Used frequently on screens and flare passes out of the backfield in Northview’s spread offense, he also accounted for 43 catches for 657 yards and another six scores.
“He’s very physical, and he’s fast, but he really likes to run people over,” Northview coach Chad Davenport said. “His speed is what has come along.”
Upshaw attended Georgia Tech’s game against Virginia last fall.
“They said they were looking at me as an A-back in their offense,” Upshaw said. “I’ll play in any style of offense.”
“I really would like to play in the SEC. But I also like schools like Miami, West Virginia and Clemson.”

Evan Jacks Named Male Athlete of the Week by Neighbor Newspapers
Northview coach Chad Davenport said, "Regardless of the outcome, opposing coaches always have the same message for him during the postgame handshake:
'No. 5 gave us fits.'"
That's the beginning of the write-up about our awesome quarterback, Evan Jacks.
