Eric S. Steenlage, MD

An orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, Dr. Steenlage brings both practice and research experience to the care of his patients. A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Steenlage completed his residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center followed by a fellowship specializing in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Humboldt University/Charite Hospital in Berlin, Germany. He has worked with numerous sports teams at both the collegiate and professional levels. Dr. Steenlage also conducted several research projects developing new knee surgical techniques, particularly involving ACL reconstruction, and holds patents on several knee ligament reconstruction devices.

Pinecca J. Patel, DPM

 

Dr. Patel has completed extensive training in all facets of foot and ankle surgery with a high concentration in trauma, sports medicine, arthritis and complex limb deformity reconstruction. After graduating from NYCPM with distinction in 2003, she completed her internship at MCG. Dr. Patel then completed a three year surgical residency in complex trauma/foot and ankle reconstruction at Jefferson University in Philadelphia where she served as chief resident from 2006-2007. She has lectured nationally and authored papers on many topics including minimal incision lateral ankle ligament reconstruction, surgical management of talar fractures, MRI findings consistent with DVT, and surgical management of pilon fractures. She is involved with numerous sports teams, including local high schools and travel teams, with a special interest in injury prevention. Dr. Patel treats all orthopaedic conditions affecting ankle and foot in both pediatric and adult patients.
